About the CVAD Galleries at UNT

The galleries are closed until further notice due to the coronavirus.

The CVAD Art Galleries at UNT support the educational mission of the university, enrich the aesthetic environment and serve as a cultural resource for the public. With a focus on curatorial projects involving contemporary art, each of the three galleries inspires and empowers student and community audiences through the viewing experience, fosters students' confidence in the public display of their artworks and presents and promotes the artist's voice.

Students earning the B.F.A. and M.F.A. degrees organize an exhibition of their work as part of their academic achievement, student groups organize group- and juried-exhibitions around a particular medium or discipline, and faculty coordinate exhibitions from their courses.

  • The CVAD Gallery presents exhibitions that present and promote discourse surrounding living artists and their works. Exhibitions are regularly included among The Dallas Morning News’ annual “Top Ten” lists for Dallas and Fort Worth and are regularly supported by grants from the Texas Commission on the Arts and the UNT Mary Jo and V. Lane Rawlins Fine Arts Series.
  • The Cora Stafford Gallery features solo and group exhibitions by graduate students, student groups, senior classes and visiting artists, including M.F.A. thesis exhibitions.
  • The Paul Voertman Gallery showcases student works in various media, with a focus on the Foundations program and B.F.A. exhibitions.
